TriDefy is a training group specifically designed for primary school aged children. It was originally designed for budding triathletes, and even though there is no expectation on the participants to compete in triathlon, it still focuses on those three disciplines.
Our group of enthusiastic youngsters will be taught all the basic skills of swimming, cycling and running. Our qualified instructors are encouraging and inclusive and will assist your child not only in developing their fitness but also building their self confidence.
TriDefy runs throughout the school term on a Monday afternoon from 4:00pm to 5:30pm at AquaZone. Generally, this 90 minute session would include 25 minutes of each discipline, with rest, hydration and change (after swimming) time between each one. However, different terms may have different focuses and may vary from time to time. Some sessions will also include some core and strength focused activities. Participants are divided into groups according to their age and ability.
There are no age restrictions however it is important that children are able to swim 25m unassisted. There will be alternative programming for kids who are not yet tall enough to use the spin bikes.
The cost of TriDefy is $16 per week, which is payable up front at the start of the school term. Terms usually run for 8 weeks.
